Indicating Silica Gel Beads-All beads are cobalt chloride-free orange indicating beads (2-4mm in size) and will change to different colors at 20%-50%RH and will complete changing colors to green when they become saturated with moisture. When you find the beads begin to change color, it does not mean the beads saturated with moisture and the beads will continue to absorb the moisture until 50%RH. Please check the silica gel beads periodically which can be reactivated indefinitely.

Great Absorbing Capacity-General estimate when used in an air-tight sealed container: each 40 grams of active, the indicating silica gel can protect up to 30 cubic ft of any enclosed storage space. You can use any of these containers to put the beads into so they can do their job and will find them working well: fine mesh food straining bag, T-Sac tea filters, tea bags, drawstring organza bag, muslin bag, mason jar, or women's hosiery.

Easy to Reactivate-Each indicating bead has vivid orange color. If the beads turns from orange to green, it means the environmental relative humidity is greater than 50%. The reusable silica gel beads desiccant dehumidifier can be reactivated by placing into the oven for 0.5h-3 hours at 200°F-250°F (do not over 250°F). Depending on silica gel beads condition, they may take shorter than the recommended time. Please check the silica gel beads color.

Widely Used-Indicating silica gel can protect any enclosed storage space such as safe, ammo cans, ammo boxes, tool box, 3d printer filament sealed plastic storage box, weapon case, closet, etc. 2lbs indicating silica gel provide a better solution keep moisture from guns, important papers, legal papers, collectibles, books, jewelry, photo album, shoes, camera lens, toys, leather clothing, ammo, photo equipment, air dryer system.

Wisesorb 8 LBS orange to green indicating silica gel beads are beads of silica gel (desiccant beads), used for absorbing moisture from the air to protect things that would be adversely affected by dampness. No harmful cobalt blue chemical in it, so safe for you to use. The beads can be reactivate by placing into oven to drive off excess moisture. The orange color indicator is convenient to judge when they need to be changed.

Wisesorb desicant crystals work nicely. Place them in organza draw string bags, and place them in drawers, and hang them in closets, and putting them in sweater boxes. when the beads turn dark and green, they have absorbed moisture. In order to re-use the beads, you can dump the crystals on a cookie sheet and bake them in the oven until they dry back out and turn orange again.

What kind of container to put the beads into so they can do their job?

You can use any of these and will find them working well: fine mesh food straining bag, mesh bag, T-Sac tea filters, tea bags, drawstring organza bag, muslin bag, mason jar, dryer containers, knee high nylon stockings, clear plastic storage bin, mesh laundry bags or women's hosiery. Even make your own bags and size them to the specific use.

Widely Used:

Put silica beads in a zip-lock bag with your small pill box for travel to keep your meds from getting wet and expiring in my backpack. Dry squash seeds for next year, a wet carbide drill bit, pocket knife, moist garlic from the grocery store, and other things in the beads. And when they turn green, just pour them into a cake pan, and bake at 200°F-250°F (do not over 250°F) for 0.5h-3 hours. We would suggest letting the beads pre-heat inside the oven to keep them from heat shocked and popping.

The silica gel save your electronics such as camera. If your camera was dropped to fresh water tank, put beads in regular plastic box with camera and leave it for couple weeks to absorb moisture. Wisesorb indicating silica gel beads are so convenient and cost effective as it's reusable. Use beads to keep your camera dry in the bag or after when camera got wet from rain/snow, please just throw it in the box with some of these gels and never have to worry about damage again.

Works great to avoid mold and mildew in your cars to keep damp seats and carpet dry for longer use. Also works well for avoiding your 3D printer filament, fire resistant boxe, safe, ammo cans, gun safe, paperwork, camping gear, wine fridges, wine chiller and even your car that doesn't get driven very often getting moldy/musty. Or replace the worn out crystals in the desiccant container you use for your hearing aids.

Reusable and save money. Put silica gel beads in little mesh bags and toss them in everything. pet food storage, safes, tool boxes, ammo can, shoes, drying chamber for herbs, motorcycle helmet (when not in use), tubs that contain your winter snow gear, camera bags, stored bins/tubs with pictures, camping gear.

Desiccant beads

I bought these to make homemade desiccant packets to use in gun safe to keep ammo dry. I put in about 3.5 ox in a mesh bag. Made over 100. I was surprised at how fast they turned color, about a week left on the counter in my bedroom. I put them in the microwave as directed and they burnt. I tried a different batch in the air fryer dehydrator for about 5 hours. They turned orange again. I left them in the dehydrator for a few days because I didn't get round to taking them out and they turned dark again. They don't last as long as I thought they would.

Convenient for my purpose.

I am an avid shooter and use these to protect my inventory of ammunition. I buy mesh teabags, fill them with dessicant and seal them with a food vacuum sealer. I put these in all my ammo boxes. Works much better than cat litter.

Keeps the Bambu lab AMS at <10% RH on the dreamo

I don’t know if the changing color actually works on these silica beads but they certainly keep the AMS filament system completely dry, even after opening and closing several times, just 3-D print the holders put the beads in there and you should be good to go for months! Understandably the humidity is low right now, but typically even when I’m up to 50% humidity these things do an excellent job of keeping the AMS dry inside and I’ve not even had to nuke them even once yet!
